Statute Of Westminster:
The Statute of Westminster was the British's law granting former colonies full legal freedom unless they chose to remain subordinate to Britain. The Statute took place on December 11, 1931. The Statute affected the Britain's commonwealth Dominions which included: Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Irish Free State and Canada.
The British giving full legal autonomy meant the Dominions had more freedom. Now the British could no longer have nullify laws of other Dominions, the Dominions could make their own extra-territorial laws, British laws no longer applied to all Dominions and Canada could make its own laws except those that directly amended the British North America Act. Under the Statute of each of the Dominions would have the right to choose which of the new resolutions it would accept and which would be rejected in favour of past regulations.
